Alexandre R. Percequillo
Alexandre Reis Percequillo, coordenador do Laboratório de Mamíferos (LAMA), possui graduação em Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas pelo Instituto de Biociências da Universidade de São Paulo (1993), mestrado em Ciências Biológicas - Área de Zoologia pelo Instituto de Biociências da Universidade de São Paulo (1998) e doutorado em Ciências Biológicas - Área de Zoologia pelo Instituto de Biociências da Universidade de São Paulo (2003). Atualmente é Professor Titular da Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz em Piracicaba. Foi pesquisador visitante do The Natural History Museum, em Londres, de 2017 a 2018. Tem experiência na área de mastozoologia, com ênfase em taxonomia, sistemática e evolução dos roedores da Subfamília Sigmodontinae. Atualmente é bolsista de produtividade do CNPq, nivel 1D, de 2020 a 2024.Alexandre oferece disciplinas obrigatórias (Zoologia de Cordados; Ecologia Aplicada) e optativas (Mamíferos: origem, evolução e biogeografia; História do Pensamento Biológico) para o Curso de Graduação em Ciências Biológicas; também ministra uma disciplina (Zoologia Aplicada) para os cursos graduação de Engenharia Agronômica e Engenharia Florestal. Em nível de Pós-graduação, oferece disciplinas nos dois programas em que se encontra credenciado: Programa de Pós-graduação Interunidades ESALQ/CENA, Ecologia Aplicada (Padrões e Processos Biogeográficos em vertebrados Sul-americanos) e Programa de Pós-graduação em Sistemática, Taxonomia Animal e Biodiversidade, MZUSP (Taxonomia e Evoluçao dos Mamíferos da América do Sul).
Alexandre Reis Percequillo, coordinator of the Laboratory of Mammals (LAMA), holds a Bachelor Degree in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (1993), a Master Degree in Biological Sciences - Zoology Area from the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (1998) and PhD in Biological Sciences - Zoology Area from the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (2003). He is currently Full Professor at the Escola Superior de Agricultura “Luiz de Queiroz” in Piracicaba. He was a visiting researcher at The Natural History Museum, in London, from 2017 to 2018. He has experience in the area of mammalogy, with an emphasis on taxonomy, systematics and evolution of rodents of the Subfamily Sigmodontinae. He is currently a CNPq productivity fellow, level 1D, from 2020 to 2024. Alexandre offers mandatory courses (Zoology of Chordates; Applied Ecology) and elective courses (Mammals: origin, evolution and biogeography; History of Biological Thought) for the Undergraduate Course in Biological Sciences; also teaches a discipline (Applied Zoology) for undergraduate courses in Agronomic Engineering and Forestry Engineering. At the graduate level, Alexandre offers disciplines in the two programs in which he is accredited: Interunit Postgraduate Program ESALQ/CENA, Applied Ecology (Biogeographical Patterns and Processes in South American vertebrates) and graduate Program in Systematics, Animal Taxonomy and Biodiversity, MZUSP (Taxonomy and Evolution of South American Mammals).
